Footballers' stellar cars

Footballers need something to spend their mammoth wages on and, for a handful of the Premier League's top stars, cars seem to be the way forward.

Sol Campbell, the former Arsenal and England defender, counts a BMW X5 among his collection, while Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry also own one, according to Endsleigh Car Insurance.

England captain Terry and vice-captain Steven Gerrard own four vehicles each, with Chelsea defender Terry the owner of a Range Rover Sport, Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari F430.

Gerrard, meanwhile, has three of the same cars but opted for a Porsche Cayenne instead of the BMW X5.

England striker Wayne Rooney is also a fan of fast motors, with his garage boasting a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Cadillac Escalade and a Nissan Primera.

In other car news, Geri Halliwell recently took the keys to a brand new Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4, which was a birthday gift from her boyfriend Henry Beckwith.
